Tell the Senate to reject the nomination of Markwayne Mullin now!

Today marks the first day of Markwayne Mullin's Senate confirmation hearing to lead the Department of Homeland Security, and he's expected to be fast-tracked through the process. This is an urgent moment to contact your senators and demand they reject this disastrous nomination.

As reported by The New York Times, Mullin made profitable stock purchases days before US military strikes while serving on a key Senate committee with access to confidential information about planned military actions. While there is no proof he used this knowledge for personal financial gain, his actions demonstrate questionable judgment that should disqualify him from leading any federal agency.

Beyond his questionable stock trading, Mullin's extremist views on immigration are terrifying. According to Reuters, Mullin has stated that babies born in the US should be deported if their parents are undocumented immigrants. This position directly violates the 14th Amendment's guarantee of birthright citizenship and would result in American citizen children being torn from their homes.

As documented by PBS, the Trump administration is already deporting American citizen children along with their foreign-born mothers.  Putting Mullin in charge of DHS would only accelerate this cruel and unconstitutional practice. Trump himself praised Mullin as a "MAGA Warrior", signaling that his nomination represents an extremist agenda, not sound governance.

Our homeland security requires principled leadership, not someone whose financial timing around military actions raises questions about his judgment and who advocates for deporting American citizens.
