Bondi Refused to Apologize. Now Congress Must Act.

At a heated House Judiciary Committee hearing this week, Attorney General Pam Bondi faced intense questioning over the DOJ’s release of the Jeffrey Epstein files — and refused to apologize to survivors harmed by it.

As NBC News and PBS NewsHour reported, lawmakers pressed Bondi over why the department exposed sensitive victim information while thousands of pages tied to powerful figures remain withheld. Survivors were seated in the hearing room. When Rep. Pramila Jayapal asked Bondi to turn and apologize directly to them, she declined.

Axios reported bipartisan alarm after photos showed Bondi holding notes referencing a member of Congress’s search history of unredacted files — raising new questions about DOJ conduct.

This is bigger than one hearing. It’s about whether the Justice Department protects survivors — or shields the powerful.

The House must begin impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Pam Bondi and hold a full public investigation into the DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files.

Thanks,
Mary
