Governors can stop the attacks on Mifepristone
Right now, extremist politicians are using the courts to try to restrict or even ban Mifepristone — the safe, FDA-approved pill used in more than half of U.S. abortions.
If they succeed, patients will lose access to telehealth and mail delivery, forcing people to travel long distances, endure dangerous delays, or go without essential care.
Mifepristone isn’t just safe — it’s globally recognized. Nearly 100 countries have approved it, and the World Health Organization lists it among essential medicines because of its safety, efficacy, and critical role in reducing unsafe abortions.
This fight is urgent. Courts could rule at any moment—and Governors have the power to protect access in their states. But they won’t act unless they feel overwhelming public pressure.
That’s where we come in. When thousands of us demand action, Governors know they will be held accountable if they fail to defend reproductive freedom.
Send a letter and tell your Governor to protect Mifepristone and stand with science, not extremists.
Thanks,
Mary
