ICE agents are hiding behind masks — and DHS won’t stop them.

Right now, ICE agents are conducting arrests while masked, unidentifiable, and dressed in plain clothes — often without showing a badge or identifying themselves. These tactics have no place in a democracy.

You raised your voice to demand change. Now it’s time to grow the pressure.

The VISIBLE Act would ban federal immigration officers from hiding their faces and require them to wear visible identification during arrests — a basic transparency measure that should already be the law. This bill is gaining momentum in Congress, and public support is growing.

Will you send a letter to the Senate, and then ask 3 friends, family members, or coworkers to send one?

Each new letter adds pressure. Each share expands the movement. Together, we can compel Congress to act.

The Department of Homeland Security has just made it clear that they have no intention of changing course.

A new Guardian report reveals that DHS has ignored multiple inquiries from members of Congress demanding answers about the use of masks by ICE agents. Instead of transparency, they’ve responded with silence. Lawmakers still don’t know who authorized these tactics — or why.

This lack of accountability is precisely why the VISIBLE Act is so critical.

We can’t let DHS bury the truth or stall reform.

Thanks,
Mary
