Judges Ordered Releases. ICE Kept Jailing People Anyway.

This week, Reuters revealed something shocking: since October, courts have ruled more than 4,400 times that illegally jailed people — and ICE simply kept doing it.

At the same time, detention is up roughly 75% since January 2025, as he accelerates his plan to deport one million people.

This isn’t dysfunction. It’s a mass deportation machine.

The ACLU has documented the reality inside ICE detention centers: overcrowding, people going hungry, prolonged confinement, lack of medical care, and even U.S. citizens and children being wrongfully detained. Judges order releases. ICE ignores them.

That’s a constitutional crisis.

There’s a critical moment for accountability. On March 3, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will testify before the.

Congress must use that hearing to demand answers.

We’re calling on to launch a full investigation into ICE’s illegal detentions, subpoena DHS and ICE leadership, and hold public hearings exposing how this agency has violated the law thousands of times.

The facts are undeniable: courts have found that ICE broke the law more than 4,400 times. Detention is at record highs. Children are behind bars. Taxpayer dollars are funding a system that tramples basic rights.

Thanks,
Mary
