Donald Trump’s allies just scored a horrifying win: hospitals can now refuse to provide life-saving abortions — even in emergencies.
That means doctors are being told to wait until patients are closer to death before helping them. Women with ectopic pregnancies or severe complications? No guarantee they’ll get care.
This nightmare became reality when Trump rescinded a Biden rule that required hospitals to provide emergency abortion care under federal law.
And Trump’s team cheered.
We’re staring down a future where even emergency rooms won’t help you if you're pregnant and in danger. But if we act now—loudly and publicly—we can force Congress to step in.
