Reclaim Our Economy from Billionaire Control

Across the country, families are being asked to do more with less — while billionaire wealth keeps soaring and their influence over our political system grows stronger.

That’s why we’re calling on Congress to pass the Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act of 2026.

This bill would place a small annual tax — just 2% on wealth above $50 million and 3% on billionaire fortunes — on the richest Americans, generating an estimated $6.2 trillion over the next decade.

That revenue could transform people’s lives.

It could fund universal child care so working families can thrive. It could make community college free and expand access to higher education. It could strengthen Medicare and lower health care costs.

In other words, it could invest directly in the programs that millions of Americans rely on — and that help build a stronger, fairer economy for everyone.

Meanwhile, the concentration of wealth at the very top has reached staggering levels. A tiny fraction of Americans now hold an enormous share of the nation’s wealth, while most families struggle to keep up with rising costs.

And that wealth doesn’t just sit idle — it translates into political power. Billionaires and ultra-wealthy donors are pouring unprecedented amounts of money into elections and shaping policy outcomes, often drowning out the voices of ordinary Americans.

The result? A system that too often works for the wealthy few instead of the many.

The Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act is about restoring balance — ensuring that the richest Americans contribute fairly and that our democracy isn’t dominated by extreme wealth.

It’s time to invest in our communities, our families, and our future.

Thanks,
Mary
