Stop Corporations from Using Your Data to Rip You Off
Imagine this: your phone battery is low, and suddenly your Uber ride costs more. It’s not a glitch—it’s surveillance pricing. And it’s already happening.
Now, Delta is rolling out AI to set airfare prices based on how much you personally are willing to pay. That means two people sitting side by side could pay radically different prices for the exact same flight—just because an algorithm said so.
This isn’t the future. This is now.
That’s why Rep. Greg Casar just introduced the Stop AI Price Gouging and Wage Fixing Act of 2025 — to ban corporations from using AI to spy on your personal data and quietly raise prices behind your back. But powerful corporate lobbyists are already working to stop it.
We can’t let them win.
A recent FTC report confirmed that companies are using everything from your browser settings to your income level to manipulate what you pay. A growing number of industries—from airlines to rideshares—are using AI to maximize profit by targeting you.
We need Congress to act before this becomes the norm. And they’ll only do it if they feel massive public pressure — starting right now.
Let’s stop AI price discrimination before it’s too late.
Thanks,
Mary
