Stop Trump’s illegal attack on federal workers!

Trump’s administration just took the government shutdown to a new low. They’re trying to illegally fire thousands of federal workers — using the shutdown as an excuse to break unions and weaken protections for public employees.

Unions, such as AFGE and AFSCME, are fighting back in court. But they need the weight of public pressure on their side. If Trump gets away with this, every future shutdown could become a weapon to purge federal workers for political gain.

Federal employees are already going without pay. Now they face losing their jobs entirely — all to satisfy Trump’s anti-worker agenda.  

The president is exploiting the crisis to attack unions and dismantle critical protections for government employees. This is part of a broader pattern of hostility toward organized labor and public service itself.

The law is clear: a government shutdown cannot be used as cover to purge the federal workforce. Yet Trump’s administration is openly flouting that principle.
