Tell Apple and Nvidia: Stop Bankrolling Trump's Ballroom
Apple and Nvidia gave $50 million to Trump's luxury ballroom — while his administration controls decisions worth billions to their businesses. And Nvidia even tried to keep its $25 million contribution secret.
A bombshell Washington Post investigation exposed the donations as part of a staggering $333 million fundraising operation bankrolled by corporations and billionaires with business before Trump's government.
This reeks of pay-to-play politics. Two of the world's richest tech companies are pouring money into Trump's pet project while seeking favorable treatment from his administration.
Nvidia secured a controversial deal allowing it to sell advanced AI chips to China despite national security concerns. Apple has billions at stake in Trump's tariff policies and other federal decisions. Both companies have every reason to want the president on their side. But they also depend on the trust of millions of customers, workers, and investors who can demand answers.
Tell Apple CEO John Ternus and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang: Stop bankrolling Trump's ballroom. Cancel any remaining payments and reveal what you've discussed with his administration.
The White House belongs to the American people, not the corporations financing Trump's vanity project. And the secrecy makes this even worse. Nvidia acknowledged supporting the ballroom but reportedly requested anonymity for its $25 million donations. If there's nothing to hide, why try to keep the amount secret?
Meanwhile, American families are struggling to afford groceries, rent, and healthcare. They're counting every dollar while two of the richest corporations on Earth give $50 million to help a billionaire president build himself a monument to excess.
Apple and Nvidia have a choice. They can keep financing Trump's ballroom, or they can disclose their contributions, release relevant communications, cancel outstanding commitments, and refuse to bankroll presidential pet projects ever again. If they don't, they should know that we're ready to hold them accountable.
Thanks for all that you do,
