Tell Congress: Stop Trump’s Trade War With Canada

Canada just hit back at Trump’s trade war — and American workers and families are feeling it.

Today, Canada imposed retaliatory tariffs as high as 50% on billions of dollars of American goods, targeting products from steel and dairy to farm equipment, appliances, clothing, and electronics.

Trump hit Canada with tariffs, Canada retaliated, and Trump threatened more. This trade war is spiraling — and workers, farmers, small businesses, and families are getting stuck paying the price.

Canada is one of America’s biggest trading partners. If this relationship continues to break down, American exporters will lose customers, manufacturers will lose orders, and jobs will be put at risk.

Trump is even threatening more action against Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier, which works with thousands of U.S. suppliers and supports American jobs. His tariff threats can boomerang straight back onto the people he claims to protect.

As this trade war continues, lawmakers from affected states and industries will be hearing from farmers, manufacturers, workers, and businesses facing real economic consequences. We need to add our own voices to the chorus.

Congress must step in, stop the trade war, and require approval for new or increased tariffs before Trump makes this crisis worse.

Thanks for all that you do,
