Tell TikTok to stop promoting anti-abortion propaganda!

TikTok is failing millions of users by promoting misleading, dangerous anti-abortion propaganda through its search algorithm — and we need your voice to help stop it.

A Media Matters investigation found that TikTok’s search results are flooded with harmful anti-abortion content, including medically inaccurate information and fearmongering narratives that endanger the health and rights of millions of people.

Even worse, while TikTok promotes this false content, it’s also been reported by Amnesty International and the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) that platforms like TikTok have censored or removed accurate, pro-abortion and reproductive health information. This chilling double standard puts lives at risk and helps anti-abortion extremists silence the truth.

Abortion is health care. Accurate, evidence-based information is a human right. No social media platform should profit from spreading lies while suppressing critical health information.

TikTok must immediately stop promoting anti-abortion misinformation in its search results, restore and protect access to medically accurate, pro-abortion content, and be transparent about how its algorithms handle reproductive health content.
