The Iran War’s Deadly Strike on a School Demands Investigation
A school in Iran was bombed during the first days of Operation Epic Fury, killing innocent children and shattering families. This atrocity demands immediate congressional action.
According to The Hill and Reuters, over 40 senators, including Jeanne Shaheen, Chris Van Hollen, and Tim Kaine, have pressed the Pentagon for answers about the devastating strike. Questions mount for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over possible US involvement in the strike on the Iranian school.
As Common Dreams notes, Senate Democrats argue that civilian casualties like the attack in Minab undermine US national security interests. RollCall reports that calls for public hearings on a war with Iran are growing louder, yet senior GOP senators remain noncommittal.
When Secretary Hegseth dismisses rules of engagement, he opens the door to war crimes and further civilian suffering. This is not acceptable.
The American people deserve the truth about what happened at that school and why.
Your voice matters. Congress responds to public pressure. Together, we can demand accountability and prevent further atrocities. The children who died deserve justice.
The investigation must begin now.
Thanks,
Mary
