The Senate must trust science, not anti-abortion extremists

Right now, extremist politicians in Washington are trying to undermine access to Mifepristone — the safe, FDA-approved pill used in most U.S. abortions.

Health Secretary RFK Jr. has ordered a new “review” of Mifepristone’s safety, following pressure from GOP senators and anti-abortion activists. But major medical experts — including the World Health Organization and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists — agree: Mifepristone is safe, effective, and essential. This review isn’t about science — it’s about politics.

If the Senate doesn’t step up, new restrictions could roll back telehealth access, ban mail delivery, and put reproductive healthcare further out of reach — especially for people in rural and low-income communities.

Nearly 100 countries approve Mifepristone, and the World Health Organization lists it as an essential medicine. Don’t let U.S. politicians drag us backward.

The Senate has the power to defend the FDA’s authority and block any attempts to politicize reproductive health. But they’ll only act if they hear from us.

Add your name now to tell your Senators: Protect Mifepristone. Trust science, not political theater.

Thanks,
Mary
