Tell Congress to save mental healthcare!

Mental health care is under attack — and the consequences could be devastating.

The Trump administration’s Justice Department informed a federal court that it will no longer enforce rules requiring insurance companies to cover mental health care fairly. They even signaled they may scrap these protections entirely.

These rules were the first real attempt to give teeth to the Mental Health Parity Act, which guarantees mental health care is treated the same as physical care. Without enforcement, that promise becomes meaningless. Patients are already being denied coverage for therapy, counseling, and addiction treatment. Families are being forced to call through “ghost networks” of fake providers, only to find help is out of reach. Veterans, students, and kids battling depression or anxiety are being left behind.

The American Medical Association has warned that rolling back these rules will undo years of progress. Instead of protecting patients, Trump is giving the insurance industry a free pass — and millions of Americans will pay the price.

This is a crisis, and we don’t have time to waste.
