Tell Congress to block Trump’s election monitors!

This is shocking — and it’s happening right now.

President Trump’s Department of Justice just announced plans to deploy federal election monitors to polling sites in California and New Jersey. Governor Gavin Newsom says Trump is trying to rig the election with federal poll monitors.

These elections are run by local officials, not by the president. Yet the DOJ plans to send agents into Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Riverside, and Fresno counties in California, and into Passaic County in New Jersey, under the pretext of monitoring election integrity. The Brennan Center for Justice warns that federal and state law ban armed federal officers from polling places except in very narrow cases. This is intimidation, not oversight.

We can’t let Trump’s DOJ turn polling sites into scenes of fear and control. Congress has the power to stop it — but only if we act before October 30.

If we flood lawmakers with public outrage now, they’ll be forced to act to block these deployments and protect the integrity of state elections. Public pressure works — it’s how we make them choose democracy over authoritarianism.
