Trump's Acting AG Is Testing How Far He Can Go With Charges Against Comey

Hi there,

In case you missed it, the indictment of former FBI director James Comey over a social media post is earning scorn from Democrats, Republicans, and even Joe Rogan.

As pressure builds from all directions, we have an opportunity to push this fight further and win.

Thanks for doing your part,

Matt from the Swarm

The Justice Department just indicted a former FBI director over a social media post. That should scare you.

James Comey is being charged over a post referencing “8647.” It’s political shorthand — “86” meaning reject or remove, and “47” referring to Donald Trump. But the DOJ is treating it like a threat.

That’s a dangerous line to cross. If vague, coded, or symbolic speech can be twisted into a crime, then no one’s speech is safe — not journalists, not activists, not you.

This is bigger than Comey. It’s about whether the government can decide what your words “really mean” — and prosecute you for it.

And right now, Trump’s new acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is testing the limits. He’s watching to see how far he can go — how much overreach the public will tolerate, and whether anyone will push back.

Public pressure is how we draw that line. If Blanche becomes Trump's official nominee and faces confirmation hearings, showing immediate, sustained opposition now can shape what happens next — and whether he’s held accountable for abusing his power.

If we don’t stop this now, it won’t be the last time speech becomes a crime.

Thanks,
