While millions of Americans struggle to afford healthcare, a Congressman just cashed in on Medicaid cuts
While families across America fight to afford healthcare, Congressman Rob Bresnahan was busy cashing in.
Just days before voting to slash Medicaid, Bresnahan sold stock in Centene — a company that profits off Medicaid services. He protected his portfolio, then voted to gut the program millions of Americans depend on. This is corruption in plain sight.
And it’s still legal.
Congress has dragged its feet on banning members from trading individual stocks — despite numerous scandals. Why? Because too many of them are making money off the very industries they’re supposed to regulate.
We can’t let this slide.
Public outrage is the only force strong enough to end this grift. There’s bipartisan legislation ready to go — like the Ban Congressional Stock Trading Act — but it won’t move without pressure.
Thanks,
Mary
